Real Lens Flares
The preview pane shows a preview of the lens flare in its current state within Designer. If the Image button in the top-right corner is toggled on, the previewer will show the layer on which flare is being rendered.
The following image shows how a preview differs from the underlying content. Note how After Effects (top) shows VFX Real Lens Flares’ default flare, because the plug-in effect has already been activated via the ECP. The lens flare under construction in Designer has different properties and is in a different position. Changes made in Designer will not apply to After Effects until you click the Confirm button in the footer pane (in Designer’s bottom-right corner).
You may find it easier to control lens flare position with the cross-hair target. Enable this by toggling on the Overlay button.
You can simplify your workspace and gain some extra preview visibility by clicking the four-squares button in the top-left corner of the preview pane. This minimizes the preset browser pane. See the default (left) and expanded view (right) below.
